DTF evolved as an improvement of DTG technology.

Cons of DTG:
• Uneven quality of white ink
(due to difficulty in pre-treatment)
• Pre-treatment marks on garment surface
• Uneven print surface
• Hard or impossible to apply to certain fabrics
• Worse durability and elasticity than DTF

Screen printing is the oldest existing technology

Cons of Screen printing:
• Need to produce in large quantities due to time consuming preparation
• Hard or expensive to produce multi-colored prints
• Multi-colored prints have overlapping layers
• May be hard to apply on to certain surfaces

Compared to Heat transfers

Heat transfers are considered as an economy choice

Cons of Heat transfers
• Hard or impossible to produce small details
• Time consuming preparation
• Starts to peel of after some washing
• Becomes curly, when the fabric is washed
(Print is not elastic and does not respond accordingly, when washed cotton shrinks)
